The Exchange Club of San Clemente is the host of this tournament.  We are a service club and one of 630 local Exchange Clubs throughout the U.S and Puerto Rico which operate under the auspices of the National Exchange organization.  

Our focus is on supporting local community organizations that benefit youth; promote pride in our country; and honor our military & veterans.  We additionally honor San Clemente’s first-responders by annually recognizing our city’s Deputy Sheriff, Firefighter, and Lifeguard of the Year.  

We also award scholarships to a small number of graduating high school seniors who have had to overcome significant obstacles, and who have not been recognized by others for their achievements.

General J. K. Davis, USMC, rose from the rank of PFC to become a 4-Star General 

• Served 40 years on active duty in the U.S. Marine Corps 
• Was the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps (1983-86)
• A Marine Aviator, flying over 30 types of aircraft including both jets and helicopters
• Flew 171 combat missions in Vietnam, including 100 at night in the A-6 attack jet
• Held 7 different USMC commands from Squadrons to all Pacific Force Marines
• A 33-year resident of San Clemente after Marine Corps retirement 
• A 32-year member of the Exchange Club
• An early & strong advocate for construction of Park Semper Fi
• An avid golfer who played weekly until age 92, while legally blind
• He and his wife Jane were married for 67 years and raised 3 daughters
